Mother of gang member takes government to court
Susan Alexander, the mother of a suspected London gang member who was shot dead by police, is taking the government to the European courts over the four-year delay in holding her son’s inquest. The circumstances of 24-year old Azelle Rodney’s death are central to proposals in the Coroners and Justice Bill, which faces a second reading vote in the House of Lords next week, to hold parts of sensitive inquests behind closed doors, according to a story in the Times.
