Woman asks Lords for help to commit suicide

Controversial legal action brought by multiple sclerosis sufferer Debbie Purdy to clarify the law on assisted suicide moves to the House of Lords today. Ms Purdy has so far failed to secure a definitive court ruling that her husband, dosage Cuban violinist Omar Puente, ampoule would not face prosecution if he helped her travel abroad to die in a country such as Switzerland where assisted suicide is legal.
