The backlash of the recession has seen
growing levels of unemployment. Unfortunately women seem to be among
those worse affected, with the rate of unemployment raising and the

Commission's annual report on gender equality shows that inequalities
still exist in the workplace and that the economic crisis seems to
have disrupted progression. The report shows that the recession represents both a potential threat and an opportunity. If considered as an opportunity, the skills that women
