Here’s a further list of women MPs some of whose names I missed yesterday:

Winners:

1. Helen Grant, the first black woman Tory MP, held Ann Widdicombe’s old seat at Maidstone and the Weald
2. Chi Onwurah is the first African woman to win a parliamentary seat in Newcastle South for Labour
3. Priti Patel became the Tories’ first Asian woman MP when she took the seat of Witham, Essex
4. Bridget Phillipson won Houghton and Sunderland South for Labour
5. Luciana Berger won Liverpool Wavertree for Labour
6. Chinyelu Onwurah won for Labour in Newcastle Central
7. Helen Grant won for the Tories in Maidstone and the Weald
8. Margot James, the first openly gay Tory MP, won in Stourbridge, West Midlands

Losers:

1. Susan Kramer, Lib Dem, lost Richmond Park to the Tories
2. Jacqui Smith, former Home Secretary, lost Redditch
3. Vera Baird lost her Redcar seat to the Lib Dems
4. Dawn Butler, Labour, lost out on the fight for newly reconstituted Brent Central to Sarah Teather of the Lib Dems
