Zac unleashes his “secret weapons”
Zac Goldsmith, the Tory's prospective parliamentary candidate for Richmond Park in London, has unleashed his "three secret weapons", according to the Daily Mail. Oh, the tension mounts. What might they be? Or who might they be, I should say.
They are none other than his sister Jemima Khan, Tansy Aspinall and Lady Clare Kerr, "who hail from some of Britain's most privileged families". This is riveting stuff. The Mail then tells us: "Together with her mother Lady Annabel Goldsmith, whose £300million put her at 178th place on the 2009 Sunday Times Rich List" Jemima and her mother wore blue rosettes with the slogan 'I back Zac' around the streets of Kew, South-West London, on Saturday".
Miss Aspinall, 21, is the granddaughter of John Aspinall the conservationist and gambling entrepreneur who is believed by some to have helped Lord Lucan disappear in 1974. Lady Kerr, the third member of the trio, is the eldest daughter of Tory heavyweight Michael Ancram whose estimated worth is £27million.
So there you are. With support like that, I guess it's a shoe-in for Zac.
