After spending two years living and studying in Turkey I recently finished a degree in International Relations.

I became interested in Islam and gender as a result of my time there and my travels throughout Europe and the Middle East.

I have always had an interest in writing and as a child I was a prolific author of mini-stories.

Since then I have written for travel websites and edited the newsletters of various employers. Recently my studies have led to interviews with Islamist parties in Turkey and research of Western media.

I am passionate about politics and the need for justice in general. However I particularly hope to highlight the media’s representation of gender and women. This is why I volunteered for WVoN and I hope to contribute to its wonderful work.
