Having graduated from Nottingham University with a BA in French and History, I am currently living and working in London.

I became interested in gender issues while at university and focussed my modules accordingly.

In my final year I studied the History of Sexuality in Britain, where we covered debates around the alleged sexual revolution of the Sixties; changing ideas of sexuality; contraception; and attitudes to women.

I became increasingly aware of how much more needs to be done to achieve gender equality and am fully committed to playing my part in this.

As well as writing for WVoN, I am the Culture Editor for Running in Heels magazine.

I am saving up to start an MA in Journalism, which will begin in September 2012.
