I’m a leftie and equal rights fanatic who likes socialising. I live in Kent and am married to a chocoholic who (luckily) shares my politics and passions.
I’ve worked in communications since graduating in Design and Admin from Brighton Polytechnic in 1984, after which career highlights include: selling clothes in Kensington Market, working as a textile designer in Florence and stints as an interior designer, in Sky TV press office and at an Omnicom PR agency.
Next I managed a design consultancy which we sold to a larger agency when the digital revolution happened, because they seemed to know more about it.
I’ve worked in digital for 15 years and am partner in a new agency that specialises in open, local and social; and after years of writing for business, will later this year start an MA in creative writing at Kent.
I am fascinated by the possibility that user-centred tools and social networks can become an unstoppable force for equality for global citizens; and am honoured to be a co-editor for WVoN, a worthwhile venture that I hope will continue to fight the good fight in bringing women’s views and issues to the fore.
