Emma Caddow, co-editor

I worked in the TV broadcast industry for a number of years before seriously considering how women are portrayed in the media.

I initially became interested in women’s issues about five years ago, after studying the feminist art movement during my Fine Art BA.

Since then I’ve become increasingly interested in feminism and women’s rights, especially when looking at how oppressive attitudes towards women perpetuate through various classes and cultures, and how women’s opportunities and lives are affected by this.

I’m currently working for an anti human trafficking charity on a voluntary basis, where human trafficking often takes the form of sexual exploitation of women.

I’m particularly interested in addressing gender attitudes with the view of restoring healthy communication and relationships between men and women.
