I have a degree in history from University College London.
It was during the course of my university life that I became truly engaged in feminist ideas – both theoretical and topical – and began my personal journey as a campaigner for awareness and change.
Since completing my degree, I have undertaken two research internships: one at Amnesty International, exploring ideas of accountability; the other at a think-tank concerned with promoting social equality.
I am passionate about women’s rights, with a special interest in how public policy shapes the landscape of women’s equality in this country.
I think it is particularly important that, as the country undergoes a massive shift in policy direction, women’s issues remain at the forefront of the national consciousness.
I find it incredibly inspiring that one just has to scratch the surface of our society to find a wonderful movement of strong women striding towards change!
