Having graduated from the University of Portsmouth with an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2009, I currently work in the women’s sector as an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate alongside freelance writing and research.

I am passionate about feminism, education, criminal justice and penal reform.

I enjoy writing about politics, media perceptions of violence and terrorism and how policy translates into practice, especially with regard to women in the criminal justice process.

I particularly like Sunday papers and science fiction.
