I am a Croatian journalist living and working in London.
I started my journalistic career in print, when I worked as a reporter and columnist for several daily newspapers and weekly news magazines across the Balkan region.
I also briefly worked as a TV presenter before moving to the UK eight years ago to pursue a BA and later on an MA in broadcast journalism.
I have been working in documentary and news production as well as online journalism for the likes of ITV, BBC, Kantar Media, Snack Media, Blakeway Productions (for Channel 4), EditorialIntelligence.com, as well as several smaller online magazines.
I can be quite good with a video camera although I am not expecting any Oscar nominations just yet.
I have a passion for writing and I am always threatening, mainly just to myself, that I will finally start writing that novel, if I can just find enough time and stop procrastinating.
I am also a huge foodie and a fairly good cook, even if I say so myself. I’m always happy to review new restaurants, discuss ingredients, techniques and cookery programmes.
I also firmly believe in principles of equality, justice and opportunity for all, regardless of sex, race, religion or economic background.
It may just be a utopia, but if all well-minded people put those principles into practice, then maybe this world can become just a tiny bit better place for all of us.
That’s why I am proud to be a part of WVoN and I will be striving to do much more.
