I was born and raised in sunny Brazil to a family with lots of empowered and politically active women and that’s where I learnt about the world.
At the moment I’m working really hard at obtaining my degree from the University of Westminster, and I will soon be a journalist living in London.
After completing my Politics and Philosophy BA in 2009, I spent almost a year on the Thai-Burma border working with ethnic-Karen refugees. I focused on community development and teaching children and adults all sorts of things, from English to poetry and philosophy.
I am extremely passionate about human rights and hope to focus my writing on those issues. I am particularly motivated by discussions about women’s rights and freedom of expression.
WVoN is a brilliant opportunity to be involved in a meaningful and interesting project. It allows me to write about the things I am passionate about and contribute in a positive way to the lives of women all around the world.
This summer I plan to spend some time working with African Street Children Organisation (ASCO) in Uganda.
