Penny Hopkins
Sub editor/Co-editor
I had always meant to be a journalist, but somehow it never happened.
Since gaining my degree I have worked in a variety of areas: the book trade, marketing the arts, giving out information in a one-stop shop, and managing volunteers for my local children’s hospice. Most recently I have gone back to books, managing a bookshop in Suffolk.
Now, returning to my native Leicestershire, I am at last able to satisfy my hunger to write through WVoN.
Throughout my working and private life my socialist and feminist principles have always been to the fore. I am also interested in the ethical treatment of animals, reading, gardening and sport.
