We welcome news stories from individuals and other organisations, as well as features and opinion pieces.

News

If you have a news story which you wish to submit, please note that it must be about women or written from a women’s perspective.

The news hook should be no more than a few days old, unless your story has a new angle on an older story in which case we’d be happy to consider it.

The story should be between 150 and 800 words.

Features/opinion pieces

If you wish to submit a longer article on a specific subject either about a woman or of relevance to women, then please submit the outline of your idea and send it to Rosy.Moorhead@womensviewsonnews.org.

We are keen to publish articles by women (and men) already working within the women’s sector as well as those who have a burning desire to express their opinion about a specific topic.

Ideally, your proposal should relate to something that has recently been in the news. Although we will consider other pitches, topical ideas are more likely to succeed.

Your outline should be no more than 250 words and should give a rough idea of the ground you’d like to cover. It should also make clear who you would interview (if appropriate) for the article and why.
