Naomi Wilcox

Co-editor

Hello, I’m Naomi.

I’m the founder of the Coventry Feminists group, which was formed in January 2012. We organise feminist activities and promote meaningful discussion between feminists. I started the group to create friendships, give encouragement and stir to action! I’m also a member of Coventry Women’s Voices.

Feminism to me means caring passionately about equality for women in all walks of live, in all areas of our lives; being angry about the injustices women suffer just because of their gender; being proud of the fact that I am a woman and embracing my body; and striving for true freedom for women everywhere.

I care strongly about creating equality for women and highlighting issues that affect women today.

I am interested in all variety of things concerning women, but particularly in women’s history, battling against the sexualisation/objectification of women and girls in our society, highlighting the inequalities that still exist in the 21st century for women all over the globe and challenging patriarchy in all its forms.
