The world according to Hugh Hefner – women are sex objects

Forget feminism, the reality is that women are sex objects. At least that’s what Hugh Hefner, the Playboy founder, says.

In case you’d like more detail, he explains in a new documentary called “Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel” that “the notion that Playboy turns women into sex objects is ridiculous. Women are sex objects. If women weren’t sex objects, there wouldn’t be another generation. It’s the attraction between the sexes that makes the world go ’round. That’s why women wear lipstick and short skirts”.

So, let me just get this right, Hugh. Women are sex objects because they have the ability to bear children. So if they don’t have children, are they then not sex objects?

Somehow that doesn’t seem to compute. Perhaps there’s something missing in this theory? For instance, that women are more than their reproductive parts?
