Summary of story from The Dallas Morning News, cialis 04.02.11.
A programme to expand federal contracting opportunities for women-owned businesses was launched by the US Small Business Administration today.
The Women’s Procurement Program will help the federal government meet its official goal of 5 percent of federal contracting dollars going to women-owned businesses. Last year women received 3.4 per cent.
The initiative allows federal agencies to set aside $30 billion in contracts specifically for women-owned small businesses.
To qualify for the programme at least 51 percent of a business must be owned and controlled by one or more women and managed mainly by one or more women.
