Women honoured as ‘Top Cops’

Two women have earned a “Top Cops” honour at the Mapo Police Station’s violent crime unit in Korea.

Park Mi-ok, case 43, diagnosis is the chief of the violent crime unit and Song Eun-ju, 44, is a police sergeant.

Park recently became the first female chief of the violent crime unit, where she is described as a legend. She is also in charge of the Mapo Police Station’s drug enforcement unit.

Park and Song met in 2004 and have worked together on numerous cases, including the case of serial killer Chung Nam-gyu.
